Our Club’s History is Rich with Tradition,
Dedication and Commitment
In the mid-late 1960’s a dedicated group of men and women provided a solid foundation for the club’s inception. Through strong leadership, vision, fundraising and Watertown’s support, the dream became a reality in September 1972. The Organization’s vision and leadership continued as we were one of the First Clubs in the Country to include “Girls” in our name. The organization changed it’s name to The Watertown Boys and Girls in Club January 1980.
Over the past 35 plus years, the Club has served hundreds of thousands of children in after-school programs and activities in the areas of physical and social development through athletic and educational programming among others.
Today, the Club serves approximately 800 youth members throughout the year, and also provides activities and services to an additional 200 youngsters thru cooperative programs with The Watertown Recreation Dept. and The Watertown Family Network (among others).
