Annual Stephen P. Mugar Memorial Golf Tournament
Stephen Mugar was one of the original founding members of our Club and his children chose to perpetuate his memory by sponsoring this annual memorial event. Our deepest thanks go out to David and Carolyn Mugar and their children for continuing to support this vital fundraising tournament.
The Watertown Boys and Girls Club holds it's annual Stephen P. Mugar Memorial Golf Tournament each year at the Oakley Country Club in Watertown. This is the single largest fundraiser that the Club has each year and the net profit of the Tournament is matched by the Mugar family. The combined monies account for almost one-third of our annual budget and help us to continue to provide much-needed programs and services to the youth of Watertown and the surrounding area. The Watertown Boys and Girls Club is deeply appreciative of the Mugar Family for all of their continued support over the years.
The Tournament is open to all and is a great opportunity to not only support our Club, but to also play one of the areas finest private courses and enjoy a full course dinner in the main ballroom that evening. The evening includes awarding of golfers prizes, raffles, and a live auction.
In 2010, the Tournament date will be Monday, July 19th with ONE TEE TIME AT 12:30PM ONLY. CHECK-IN BEGINS AT 11AM.
The Tournament fee is $175.00 and includes gift bag with shirt, greens fee, cart, food and beverages on the course, and the evening dinner and auction.
To attend the dinner and auction only is $40.00.

NEWS FLASH.....July 23, 2007. Former Watertown resident Rick Grant, now of Brewster, hit the Hole-in-One on the 14th hole (168 yards) to win the 2 year lease on a new Saab donated by Charles River Saab of Watertown. This was Rick's first ever hole-in-one and the first (on the big prize hole) in the 30 year history of the Mugar Tournament.
